Serendipety brought me back in touch with a high/secondary school classmate, who has a (online) shop in urnes and other keepsakes for ashes.

It all started with a coffeecup on display in Taiwan, at the ceramics museum in Taipei. The cost for the return were quite high, but a friend of mine is a stewardess and sometimes flies to Taipei and she was happy to pick it up for me. We had been in school together and stayed in touch via FB. It was my stewardess friend who re-introduced me to Denise, who turned out to live just up the road from where I was born and raised and where my mum, who I visit weekly, still lives.

When we met I brought 1 of my memory vessels with me and we discussed how to turn these into a line of urns, for both pets and stillborn childeren. I made new stamps for these series, paw prints and a butterfly.

This range will be exclusivily available from Urnenhemel in the near future more models will be added to the range. But as always, each piece is hand built by me, so none will be exactly the same. An exclusive fairtrade giftbox, handmade in Nepal, is included.
