Vessel in white porcelain. A tiny mouse is examining a trail, a pattern of dots on the cups. The dots are pin pricks, small holes in the porcelain filled with glaze and some copperoxide. The copperoxide makes the glaze turn green. You can use this cup to drink or use it as a candle holder and fill it with light.
This whimsical cup is glazed with a clear lead free glaze on the inside and upper half of the outside.
Stamped at the side with Two Trees logo; this is a unique one of a kind piece. You will receive the one as shown in the pictures.
Each piece is handmade by me in porcelain clay. Porcelain clay is different in composition from other clays, because of this it’s stronger. Because it’s stronger one can create much thinner items; and where it’s thin, it’s translucent, also typical for porcelain. It need to be fired at a temperature which is higher than average for other clays as well. It’s fired twice, once at a low temperature, after which I can apply glazes. And the second firing at the high temperature were it goes translucent. Natural porcelain is white, but one can add pigments or stains to the clay to give it other colors, the color is then throughout. When a glaze is applied, it is only on the surface.
Hand washing is always an option. It can also be washed in the dishwasher, be careful when stacking it.
All my items come gift wraped, in this case in the gift box as pictured. This will go in to a box or envelop with bubble wrap or other protective material for shipping. For this I use as much recycled boxes, wrap as possible, to safe the environment and on shipping costs.
