Welcome to my world filled with whimsical porcelain
I’m a ceramic artist based in the Netherlands. When I discovered porcelain, I realized I had found my passion. I work intuitively and have developed a unique style that comes from deep inside. I am mostly self taught, but I did follow classes to learn the basic handbuilding skills.
Happiness is central to my work, and I strive to create whimsical, cute pieces that bring a smile to people’s faces. I draw inspiration from animals, nature, folklore, and fantasy.
My creations are to be treasured and are a statement against throwaway culture. I love that my work sets the child in grown-ups free and lights up their imagination. I continue to develop and perfect my tiny, happy creatures that live in my whimsical world.

I love creating custom pieces inspired by people’s stories. Personal items make such treasured gifts. If you are looking to buy a custom made item, contact me and we can chat about what you’re looking for.
Please note, when I make a custom item it may take up to 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the type of item and when I fire the next kiln.
Handbuilt Whimsical Porcelain
Handbuilding is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. The most common handbuilding techniques are pinch pottery, coil building, and slab building.
Whimsical as in playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way.
Porcelain is a type of ceramic material made by heating raw ingredients, including kaolinite, in a kiln at very high temperatures (between 1,200 and 1,400 °C or 2,200 and 2,600 °F). The greater strength and translucence of porcelain, relative to other types of pottery, arise mainly from vitrification and the formation of the mineral mullite within the body at these high temperatures. It has usually been regarded as the most prestigious type of pottery due to its delicacy, strength, and high degree of whiteness.
